The 2026 Van Wettens Charity Golf Day was another incredible success, bringing together 132 golfers for a day of friendly competition, great partnerships and giving back to the Lowveld community.

The temperatures were soaring, but the golf was even hotter as the annual Van Wettens Charity Golf Day took place on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at Mbombela Golf Club.

Once again, this much-anticipated event brought together clients, business partners, sponsors and friends from across the Lowveld and beyond, all united by a shared passion for golf and making a positive difference in the community.

132 Golfers, 33 Fourballs and Plenty of Competition

With 33 fourballs and 132 players taking to the fairways, the competition was fierce from the very first tee-off.

Despite the scorching Lowveld heat, spirits remained high throughout the day as players enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere filled with friendly rivalry, laughter and camaraderie.

After an exciting day on the course, Pontie's Panelbeaters emerged victorious, claiming the title of winning fourball at the 2026 Van Wettens Charity Golf Day.

A Charity Auction for a Worthy Cause

The excitement didn't end on the golf course. As the sun set, guests gathered for a charity auction featuring fantastic prizes and exclusive experiences.

Among the highlights were a framed and signed Pumas rugby jersey, a weekend getaway to the Waterberg Wildlife Sanctuary, and an exclusive bottle of Avante brandy signed by former Springbok Duane Vermeulen.

The auction added another memorable element to the event while helping raise funds for those who need them most.

Giving Back to the Lowveld Community

While the golf, prizes and celebrations made for a memorable occasion, the true purpose of the Van Wettens Charity Golf Day extends far beyond the fairways.

The majority of the profits generated from this year's event will once again be donated to Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis, with additional contributions supporting several smaller local charities across the Lowveld.

Through the generosity of everyone involved, the event continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people within our community.
